Who is not having a baby shower?

Would have loved one but i dont have anyone to help me. By help i mean even physical help, i would have payed for it. My mom keeps telling me cant my friends throw it for me? My cousin is pregnant too and due a day after me and her mom (my aunt) is throwing her shower. Today my mom asked me why i dont do a joint shower with her. I explained my cousin is younger and i just cant impose, if she asked, yes, but i cant even suggest that to her to take her lime light away. She needs all the attention. I will be there but i plan to take a back seat and let everyone celebrate her. (Wonder how that will go as we share family and my bump is obvious so alone my presence will catch peoples attention.) At this, mom said she will ask her if we can join showers. After i thought about it, i told her to not do that. My cousin deserves her shower alone like she has been planning.

Anyway. I see how this is becoming a burden to my mom. My siblings all dont live in the same place. And my friends, haha. None has talked about it and i dont expect it because they aint into such parties. The one that mentioned it lives too far, works a lot and has 2 babies herself so i know she cant manage.

Am thinking of just not having a shower completely. Thus have decided to buy myself all the things need for baby this week and just get done with nesting.

Or should i just try to do a sprinkle and just invite like 5 people?
