IVF - 1 or 2 embryo transfer?

Hi ladies, it looks like we will be doing another FET in a month or so. Right now, we are trying to decide whether we should do 1 or 2 embryos. It does increase the chance of the cycle working, but obviously there are other concerns that arise with multiples.
Anyone have experience with this or advice? We are more than happy to have twin babies, that is not a concern post-pregnancy

Transferring 2 doesn't double your chances as so many factors are at play for successful implantation. In fact, research shows that success is higher from 2 successive 1 embryo transfers than a double transfer. 
Also, twins are high risk pregnancies and IVF gives increased chance of embryo splitting- so your twins could turn into triplets! Not a scenario with a high likelihood of a good outcome.

My husband and I barely survived with one semi-colicky preemie baby. I’m very glad we chose to just PGT and transfer one. I know people that have done two (including someone who failed multiple cycles beforehand) and it was a huggeee strain on them financially (double the diapers/car seats/crib/food and so on all at once), time wise and breastfeeding wise (if you want to). Don’t get me wrong, they love their babies, but they definitely talked me out of even considering transferring multiple and I totally understand why now that we have one. They were also much more sick and high risk throughout the pregnancy. If you have tons of continuous help, or are ready to pay a nanny to be around (good ones are hard/expensive to come by these days), it may not be as bad. 
On another note, if you don’t have a large supply of embryos, there’s also the chance you lose two at once if you need an ERA or there’s a different protocol that would help you. I’m not sure what your diagnosis is, so it’s really hard to say.

Our clinic advised one and we went with that but I think it’s your decision ultimately :) check benefits and cons of both and decide accordingly I’d say. Goodluck 💕

We are going for FET tomorrow and have talked about this. Assisted hatching was performed and I think that we are going to just transfer one of the garden comes back b or better. 2 if below b grade. I have read that transferring two can also cause miscarriage if the one is rejected , but I’m not a physician. I say just go with your gut feeling .,
