Same virus or something else?

Question

Since Saturday my husband has had a bad head cold (not Covid) with coughing, sneezing, congestion, headache. 
Today my 4 year old randomly spiked a fever of 100° and I was like well damn I guess he caught it! But he has no “cold” symptoms. Then he threw up massively, and after that, asked for a grilled cheese sandwich and has been acting like normal. 
Do you think he has the same virus? Or something else like a stomach bug?

I had something similar well my family we all kept testing neg for covid. I even got hospitalized I couldn't keep food down I had chills long story short I had a virus called norovirus which right now has been very active and can easily be caught when eating sea food or coming in contact with someone who has the virus. According to the dr. Alot of our food sources have been contaminated and have been recalled but alot of people got consume or purchase it before they were aware

I'm in Texas and there's definitely a stomach bug going around in our area.
