My husband is my MILS taxi driver

So as of the title, my husband basically drives my MIL everywhere. She has a car, she’s capable but I feel like she gets jealous that he drives me and our kids most places now.

Like when we go somewhere, she fights so hard for his attention and basically interrupts me. So I basically don’t get a word in ever when she’s around. Then he wonders why I don’t look happy when she’s around… 🤯

She makes him feel bad.

Like apparently she got in a wreck and it pinched her nerve a long time ago. She made a appointment 2 hours away. So that is 2 hours there and 2 hours back. The appointments are for 3 days straight. So that’s basically 12 hours in gas! Gas is not cheap these days!

Why can’t she ask one of her other sons?

Out of all four of her sons, me and my husband has the most kids (3) then two of her sons with 1 kid and then another with 0. Why not ask the one with no kids?

Like my sons birthday is today and guess what? Yep! She wants him to drive her to her appointment!

He got so mad at me today because I was ‘making him late’ (when I didn’t know she had a appointment)

It’s hard tackling 3 kids, feeding them, baths, pumping, nursing and making sure I ate! Then the audacity to get mad at me for making him late to his moms appointment?

Like when I had a appointment 40 mins away and he told me he was gonna drive me, he made me late? I called him out on it and he said, “well you have a car” like really? 🤦🏼‍♀️

I asked him why none of his brothers take her and he said because they don’t care for her and tried comparing them to my sister. My sister never comes around my mom because she’s too busy doing drugs. Like really? No where near my sister! I told him….”look, your brother have a family, your mom is not their concern” and he looked at me so stupid… how do I explain it to him better? It’s not his concern though, right? Like I’m always in my head thinking I’m going crazy with how their whole dynamic is…

She thinks that since he’s the oldest, he has to take care of her because she took care of them (even though she didn’t) she worked all the time and made him take care of his brothers.

Either way, it’s dumb. She gets mad if he doesn’t answer back ASAP. she got mad yesterday when he was late getting to her appointment. She sent him the appointment card and was like, “you better come, you knew what time it was for”
