Contently happy

My boyfriend of 2 years laid it on me last week he’s not sure about us. We live together. He thinks therapy might help so I finally found a couples counselor. I suggested he see one to work on himself as well which he took initiative and found one thats right now. Before he left we talked about what we both want out of therapy. My answer was to either determine if we can work this out or go our separate ways. His answer was he wants this fo work but he wants to be happy. I asked him if he was not happy and he said he’s contently happy.
