What brands of nail polish stays on longer?

Question

I normally use OPI and just whatever is cheap. I had pedicure done last week and they put clear nail polish on my toe nails. 
Do I need to apply clear nail polish we each time I paint my toes order for the polish to last longer? 
What are some other brands of nail polish that are really good?

A top coat is necessary with any polish for it to last long. Essie polishes last a long time for me along with CND Vinylux and Zoya. Butter London doesn't last at all so don't bother, esp with how expensive they are. OPI is middle of the road for me in terms of wear.

I always get gel. Usually last 3+ weeks and more grows out than chips. Dip didn’t work for me for whatever reason and is a pain because you can’t just peel it off. 
I swear the nail salon nail polish is a different grade than what you buy in a store. Store bought never worked for more than a few days for me
