How would you feel?

Question

Nobody in my family likes my boyfriend. Literally nobody but it don’t make it any better because he lives with me and my grandma and has no job, I know he can fix those things so I stay with him because I see the bigger picture but I also kinda miss being young and free. I love him I do but with my family not liking him and being weird to me because of him and then us arguing and him making it seem like it’s my fault, it’s get to me 😒 
I just would like to know how y’all would handle the situation? If your family doesn’t like your boyfriend, would you stay?
He’s been living with me for about 2 years now? He says he hates it here but can’t keep a job long enough to move. He’s been unemployed for almost a year now. But he’s about to start working again.

He lives with you in your grandmother's home and doesn't have a job. Even with that very limited information I can see why no one likes him.

Previous poster was right - usually, an entire family and close friends not liking someone is a sure sign that something isn’t right. Maybe they’re disturbed that a grown man is living off of your grandma. Do you work? 
Dating someone for their potential isn’t worth your time. If he’s not working toward something and paying his own way in the process, hes not prepared to take on a family or real responsibilities.

Girl. This is a hoboship. He is using you and calling it “love” so he doesn’t have to work and have a place to live. A REAL man has savings, a secured job, pays his part of the bills, has it for himself because, he knows and understands no one is going to get it for him! He sounds like he has no goals or values. You deserve better and there’s a reason ALL of your family doesn’t approve of him. Get someone who offers to pay YOUR rent. Who offers to pay for YOUR food. You don’t have to say yes to either! But, it feels GOOD that a person is secure with themselves. You both grow! You both get to the money. You deserve what you put out.

I was once in similar shoes as you. My family hated my boyfriend. He would make promises and break them constantly, he would be careless with his money all the time and his mom had to give him money a lot. I knew my family didn’t like him but I was rebellious at the time. Eventually I got tired of all the empty promises that he would make. Relationships like this never work out. Eventually you will get burnt out. If your boyfriend truly wanted to fix his situation he would be doing everything that he can to fix it. Most of the time our families see what we can’t see when we are blinded by “love”.

None of my family liked my boyfriend (now husband) when we first got together because my dad was one of those dads who is extremely strict and he was very very rude to my boyfriend when he first met him and it really hurt my boyfriend’s feelings. So I told him that he didn’t have to be around my dad if he made him feel that way. Then my family hated him for years because he never came around. I just cut my family off. My boyfriend came first, he never did anything wrong to be treated that way and he made me very happy. We’ve been together 9 years and he’s never even raised his voice at me. He’s worked hard every single day and never drinks or goes out to parties. I wasn’t about to throw that away because my family was jerks😂 Now were married and have a baby and my dad admits it was wrong of him he just didn’t think anyone was good enough for his “little girl” but now my entire family love him including my dad.
