Would you keep trying??
A good friend of mine has been struggling with infertility for many years now. She’s had multiple pregnancies but has sadly lost each of them. She also is a carrier of a genetic condition and any male children she has will die shortly after birth - if they survive they will not only be severely handicapped but they will die before reaching teenage years, no one with this condition has lived past 15. She has 6 brothers that have all suffered immensely from their handicaps before passing at various ages. She is so so determined to have a baby naturally that she goes into a deep deep depression with each loss and each failed month. I know there’s no way to guarantee the health of your children, but I can’t help but feel like if you knew 100% without a doubt your children would suffer their entire lives before dying young - I wouldn’t even try?? I would adopt or foster or find another way to become a parent rather than put my children through that. Im trying so hard to be supportive but she’s getting mean and nasty about not being able to have children of her own.
