This is our first bday party and I honestly have zero idea what is a typical bday budget for kids. We were thinking $50 but I have a feeling we will be going to a lot of bday parties and that can get $$$$$

My kids go to daycare and every month celebrate birthdays. All year if I see something cute and on sale for their age range, I grab it and put it in the attic. They are nice things but I try to keep it $20 and below for each kid.

Id say it depends on the friendship too. If this is a random kid in his class he kinda knows or somewhat hangs out with 10-20$ is great. If its his friend he has had for a while and they hang out alot you can splurge but its not necessary either.
