Frustration remaining from teenage years

So I'm 27 now and my whole adult life I look back on how predominantly my mother handled disciplining me and I still as an adult feel it was wrong. I think I finally figured it out. Every time I did anything (yes I disobeyed many times as most do) she would call me rebellious. And it really upset me bc that was truly not my intent when I disobeyed. And it has really left me with a great deal of resentment towards her as an adult. But i will say it has taught me a lot about how not to raise my own children.

Kids and teenagers make mistakes. They make the wrong choices but that does NOT make them a defiant rebellious child.
