Breastfeeding
Hi hope someone can help, FTM so might be over worrying.
Mainly worrying that my LO isn’t getting enough milk/my milk supply might go down.
My 4month old is EBF, for the past couple of days she has either only been feeding on both sides for about 3mins or one side only, when I try offer more she pulls away and cries. She usually takes both sides for about 7-10minutes.
She has been sick and is congested so I’m aware that that might affect her feeding, because of this each day we have been giving her 1 bottle (around 6oz) of express breast milk and she has been drinking it all, but is drinking quite slow.
When pumping it also seems that I am getting a little less than usual. However after feeding and pumping there is definitely milk still there as if I squeeze it squirts out.
I guess my questions are:
-can my baby be getting enough good milk from only 3minutes? Or only 1 side only?
-if she is just eating less while she is sick will this effect my milk supply for when she is better? Is there anything I can do?
-if she is not eating because she is uncomfortable with congestion is there anything I can do to help her?
** she is still pooping and having wet nappies
