Do you teach your kids to stay off/not walk across people's lawns?

It's how I was brought up and how I'm bringing my children up. Just wondering if it's standard practice or not, I see so many people that just go all over other's property including a delivery driver today which I've never seen them do before and kids on bikes.
I know it's not the end of the world as it's just grass but it was so drilled into my head as a kid that I can't help but be annoyed.

Yes. No walking on other people’s lawns, no crossing across the property of houses on the corner, and, when walking the dogs, no allowing the dogs to roam on their grass or pee on their property. It’s just common courtesy.

My neighbors always walk around the block so many of them is they happen to cross paths infront of my house they stand in my driveway… 🙄😒

We grew up with “don’t run in the house, stay off the grass, don’t slam that door, walk through camp, don’t kick up dirt” I’d say it’s just about being aware of people around you and really just being respectful of them.

We live in the suburbs. We don’t really go near other peoples yards they are spaced out a lot.

If it’s private property then put up a sign. Sometimes when walking my dogs I walk on the grass cause there’s no side walk. If it’s just at the edge then it shouldn’t matter, if they’re all over the place and even letting their dog shit on it then no way! 😂 it’s just grass, they’re just walking over it. If they’re disrespecting it and making mess then HELL NO!

The laws about that are very different in each country. The earth should not be anyone’s though imho as we’re not staying on it forever anyway 😌

That’s what my parents taught me. It’s not my property and I shouldn’t be playing on it, and if we’re visiting, we shouldn’t cut across the lawn to the front door. It’s just common courtesy.

Public grass like the park is fine but I don't want my kid walking on private property or straying from the sidewalk when traveling.
