Total cost of having my son 🤯

I knew before we even got pregnant I needed to have a nice chunk of money saved. Our insurance isn’t great and I would be considered high risk. So I planned for the worst and saved up for over 3 years. I added together all my bills today (I may even receive more) from my prenatal care, hospital cesarean birth, sons hospital stay + first pediatrician appointment. My total so far is $11,316.85. It blows my mind that my husband and I pay thousands in insurance a year and this was the cost to start our family.
