Toddler naps when you’re out and about?

How do yall handle the MUST HAVE toddler naps when you’re out and about? My 2 year old needs his 12-2pm nap but I always rush home so he gets it at home… is that really necessary? Am I doing too much lol? Do yall just let them pass out wherever orrr?

I literally thought I was such an extra mom by planning my stuff around my daughters naps and seeing these comments make me feel waaaaay better now lol

I plan everything around naps. 🤷🏽‍♀️😅 He's down from 12-3 so if I need to go out I do it before and/or after his nap. Appointments included. He's my youngest of 4 & I've done it with all of them. Lol naps keep us both sane!

I let her fall asleep wherever we are. Or time it so we are driving when she would usually nap and then drive around or just chill out in the car. No need to rush home unless they absolutely wont nap out places/ in the car

I try and be home for nap time and schedule things around nap time. She will nap in the car but it won't be for very long. If she doesn't nap long enough she becomes very cranky and difficult the rest of the day until bedtime. My thoughts are eventually she won't nap anymore and at almost 3.5 we have more days where she doesn't nap. So it's not too much of a big deal to make sure we are home and she gets enough rest. Obviously if things have to be done we do them regardless of nap and take what we can get. But if we can be home for naptime we prefer that

We have a 1 and 2 year old. Planning things around naps are a MUST 😂😂 that’s our nap too haha especially since my fiancé works night shift

Our 15 month old is super flexible with nap time.   He needs about 3 hours a day but can do it morning or afternoon.   If he doesn’t sleep a full 3 hours we aim for a car cat nap or go to bed a full hour earlier, even.

I always plan anything around naps
I won’t go do something til after her nap! 
If she doesn’t nap long enough it throws her schedule off and she’s grumpy from not enough sleep so it’s just better all around we are home for her to nap 
I’ve noticed some ppl do it this way and others just don’t even care. I was around some family recently on vacation and they had a full day planned, we went home around 11 and I said we will hang out with them after 2 when our daughter was up again. They did stuff literally all day with their kids 
Their 2 year old was throwing a terrible fit the whole time when we got back bc she was tired and they kept saying she’s grumpy bc she needed to nap. But it just made me feel bad for her! I would want a comfortable spot to nap lol

It’s all personal preference. My sister was always out and about and her kids napped whenever they were. I am the complete opposite and I make it a point to be home for my kids to nap in their beds. I’m way more structured. I don’t think there is a right or wrong way though.

We use his stroller for naps, pretty much all naps all year around. Just use a sleeping bag correct the the season. If I know I need to get something done where that nit possible I plan it so he can nap in the car.
