I have a controversial stance, at least it’s controversial to my friends and I; but, I think I’m order to be submissive you need someone who is worthy enough for you to submit to. I’m assuming you’re meaning submit…like submission to a man? Like for me I’m 23 in Grad School and I work full time, I wouldn’t be able to submit to someone who smokes weed all day and doesn’t have a job. That’s not to say that I can’t submit, it’s just that I won’t unless a man brings what I can or more to the table. Also, it’s okay to not be submissive…women can have a backbone nowadays, at least they should be able to.

I think it's more, like why the hell would a woman be submissive. There is no need to be submissive at all, just find someone that can accept and respect you and doesn't expect you to be submissive.

For me being submissive in my relationship and in the bedroom is such a welcome rest from being independent in all other aspects of my life. At work and elsewhere in life I’m calling the shots and making the decisions. So when I can let my partner take the lead and be in charge it is like a mental vacation. Obviously we have boundaries with it and there are some things we have to be in full agreement on but at the same time there’s things where the agreement is that it’s his call entirely and I just roll with it

I think you can be both submissive and independent. You can show your spouse you trust him by letting him take the lead or following the decisions he makes for your family without debate. Of course if he isn't trustworthy or responsible this will be extremely hard to do. Its not about diminishing your opinions or anything. Practice doing it without telling him what you're doing and see what happens. You might actually like it.

I guess it depends on what being submissive means to you. There’s a difference between respecting your partner and letting them walk all over you. Being submissive doesn’t mean you never get to have a voice. It just means you respect your partner as your equal, you listen to them. You don’t make them feel inferior to you, you don’t drag them through the mud in how you talk about them when they aren’t present. I think when people think about being submissive they think they never get to have a voice and have to just follow blindly what their partner wants and tells them
