Does anyone know the answer to this question?

So i was cramping in and off last week and it got worse towards the end of the week but I was 3 days late and on the 4th day which was yesterday I used the bathroom in the morning then I had some spotting so I said ok my cycle is here, but then I did not bleed the rest of the day and I have not had any blood today. I took a first response test 2 days ago and it was negative. Does anyone know if I should count yesterday as the beginning of my cycle? And also, should I see a OBGYN about this?
