Just venting..

My brother's 18th birthday is tomorrow. We celebrated today due to busy schedules within the family. Well, my brother was doing OK this afternoon.. he and his girlfriend broke up but he's been doing OK. When he was out swimming, he noticed his dog laying on the side of his house. Turns out, his best friend of about 10 years died. His dog died. He spent the rest of the day sleeping. I texted him when I got home and let him know that I am sorry and that I am always here for him. I feel so sad for him and angry. I want to cry for him. Adulthood sucks sometimes and unfortunately he got a taste of it. I hate that as soon as someone turns 18 you expect them to automatically grown up. He's still a kid and when he found his dog he was told not to over exaggerate because it happens. He didn't cry or seem sad at all while he was in front of everyone. It makes me angry. He should he allowed to be emotional. I could only imagine how alone he must have felt.
