Concerned about fever?

Question

LO is 19 mo and has a fever 101.7 and climbing, just gave him Tylenol to see if it’ll help him sleep because he hasn’t slept in two days and is acting sooo tired but restless. He doesn’t have any other symptoms of sickness. Should I be concerned about the fever with no other symptoms really other than not sleeping and restlessness? It’s a holiday weekend of course so his pediatrician is closed. Should I just wait and see how he does?

Alternate Tylenol and motín to keep confiando make sure baby stays hydrated. Could be ear infection, maybe go to urgent care if you think that’s the cause. If there’s no signs of illness otherwise, let it run it’s course. 
Teething does not cause a fever of 101.7.

A child under 3 can have a fever of up to 104 before it's considered an emergency. Kids that little can catch little viruses that don't show many other symptoms aside from fever and generally not feeling well. I'd just keep an eye and make sure it doesn't get that high. Give lots of liquids and let them sleep if they want to. Give meds for fever a couple of times a day if you want to but if it's not a very high fever you don't have to. If it's still going on after the weekend go to the pediatrician. I highly suggest Genexa instead of Tylenol or Motrin. It contains zero unnecessary ingredients or colors and no artificial flavors. Just the needed acetaminophen, water and natural flavor. I found that it works faster and better for my child.
