Pumping to Induce Labor

I’m 37 weeks 3 days with my second child and at my doctor’s appointment today I expressed my desire to have a VBAC with my doctor. My first was induced at 40 weeks 5 days and my family is known for having large babies that are overdue. Because they won’t induce me this time around, I talked to my doc about ways to get labor started sooner naturally. She gave me the green light to start pumping as a way to try to start labor.

My question though is how often should I pump to do this? I pumped for 15min on each side earlier this afternoon and felt some mild contracting for a few hours afterward but then it stopped. Should I keep pumping several times a day? Or is this just something to do once a day and try again tomorrow?
