When to test ovulation after miscarriage.

I recently miscarried my first baby and my husband and I plan on starting to try for our rainbow baby within the next month or so. I was blessed to get pregnant without trying the first time. I wasnt keeping track of ovulation or my fertile days. It was more of “in the moment” type of thing. My question is, when do you test if you are ovulating? In the morning or night? How many times a day? And what cycle day? #TTC

Have you had a period yet? You can either wait till a period or start testing asap.  some don’t have a period and can ovulate before you get a period. If you want to wait for a period then start testing 2 days after period. Get cheap opks on Amazon. I use ezlevel. Test at least 2 times a day between 11am and 8pm till both lines are the same color or test line is darker then control line whatever comes first is your positive. Ovulation can occur in 12-48 hours after. Opks don’t confirm ovulation so if you want more accuracy Add bbt to confirm ovulation and you will know when you ovulated, dpo, luteal phase length (is from the day after ovulation to period which stays the same each cycle give or take 1-2 days. Average length is 12-14 days give or take 1-2 days.) when period is coming by temp drop or if you miss your period and your temp stays up then there is a chance for pregnancy. Fertility friend is great with bbt and you need a bbt thermometer that read 2 number past the point. I temp at 4:20 cus I know I’ll have 3 hours of sleep and I have to pee. So I temp pee and go back to sleep. You want to pick a time to temp when you know you will get at least 3 hours of sleep and temp at that time each am before you move or get out of bed and stay within 30 mins of that picked time. Your looking for lower temps before ovulation and higher after ovulation. Once positive opk ovulation is in 12-48 hours then your looking for a temp rise. Fertility friend will confirm ovulation when your 3dpo and give you tips and updates daily. Huge advocate for bbt as it literally saved my life. Baby dust!

If you buy opks they will have a chart that tells you when to start testing. If you use the strips you’ll start testing once a day and when the lines start getting close to being positive you can test two to three times a day. I usually find my peak testing mid-day vs morning. Positive ovulation tests don’t confirm ovulation happens so I also tract my basal body temperature. I take it every morning before I get out of bed. Once you ovulate your temp will rise. Baby dust to you!!
