We’re you freezing during c-section?

Did anyone else feel SUPER cold during c section? I remember I was out of it but I was freeeezzzing. They had to put like 2 heaters by me . I’m thinking it was the medicine they gave me? This time around I’m having a planned c section so I’m wondering if it’s going to be the same?

They keep the operating room cold. The medication  they give also makes your blood pressure drop and can cause the shakes. I was the opposite, very sweaty and sick feeling. I had to ask for cold wash cloths on my forehead to keep from puking.

I think because during c sections our blood pressure typically drops that is why people feel cold mine stayed relatively low for a few hours after and came up slowly I felt cold until it rises again.

I had a bunch of different waves of feeling sick and then feeling like I was going to pass out then got really hot then felt like I was going to puke and the last feeling was freezing.. like shivering SO bad.. it lasted a while, they were piling blankets on me but I was told it was normal. It literally took me probably an hour to warm back up once I was done being stitched up.

I was shivering really bad throughout my second c section and afterwards as well until they put heaters under my cover. I was told it was the effect of anaesthesia.
I don't remember feeling cold or shivering with my first c section though.

I wasn't cold during mine. I had two and both were planned. My first I was flopping like a fish but it was due to my nerves.

I was much colder during my emergency C-section than I was during the planned one. Combination of being exhausted and overwhelmed I think make it worse, maybe even just that I expected the cold the second time made it less intense.
They do keep the OR very cold for sterile reasons so that’s the main reason it’s chilly. I did feel some of the medication they gave me through the IV felt like ice and kept me feeling 🥶
