Shower before labor?

Hey ladies, kind of a weird question but when you start to get contractions and you’re home, do you hop in the shower real quick to clean yourself up before you head to the hospital? I shower every morning but I was thinking if I went into labor in the evening I wouldn’t mind hoping in the shower first

Took a long shower after my water broke with my oldest. And stayed in the bathtub for hours to relax while in labor.
With my youngest I was induced Monday morning, took a shower at least twice while at the hospital getting induced.

I had a bath the blow dried and straightened my hair with both my boys then by the time I’d done that I was ready to go into hospital. I maybe waited a little too long with my last baby as I was only in hospital an hour and I’d delivered him x

I woke up in the middle of the night with diarrhea with my first. When I was finally allowed at the hospital (I talked through my contractions) I didn't even think of a shower at all 😂
So this time it'll very much depend on how it all starts and how fast it goes 😅

With my third, I took a long shower because I knew what was coming. Highly recommended. You get clean, and have some soothing warm water on your lower back. 🤗

I stayed in the shower at the hospital as long as they let me- it’s great for relaxing your body during labor! I actually delivered my first in the shower. Warm water feels soooo good when you’re in labor.

I would have but I thought more time. Went to my 39 week appointment with very mild contractions expected to be sent home. I was in active labour and had my baby 3.5 hrs later. Super glad I had packed all our stuff in the car before leaving.

My first I showered at the hospital. They had me do a scrub as a precaution and I washed afterwards.
I took showers the night before both of my inductions and did my hair nice.

I had to have a shower before I went to hospital because it helped settle the pain. I hopped in the shower again when I got to the hospital. Birth was definitely not a clean event though 😅
