Is he being ridiculous ?

So my boyfriend has noticed I’ve been physically distant with him. I had mentioned we can always cuddle hug or kiss. He can always come up to me and do that. But only mentions sex. And I told him I’ve been mentally drained and don’t feel like having sex. It’s been almost a week since we’ve had sex and sex is important to my boyfriend me on the other hand I’m fine without it. He goes without sex in a couple of days and starts to question our relationship. He questions my love and says I treat him differently. The only thing I’ve done differently is not have sex with him. He says we’re 23 we should be having sex 3-4 times a week. I genuinely don’t see the time to do that and I also am not on birth control so I don’t feel like raw dogging all the time. He doesn’t seem aware of those concerns even though I told him. I may not be understanding him but when he says I’m being physically distant and he just talks about sex it seems as if it’s not me being physically distant he just wants sex and I don’t. And he doesn’t like that so he claims I’m being different.

But I also could be wrong.
