Car seat troubles
Hello! I’m a FTM and I’m Looking for any second/third/fourth time moms’ advice! My little guy is 8 weeks old (born may 23, was due June 5) and he absolutely hates the car seat. He’s fine when I strap him in inside, but the second I put the car in drive, He will scream at the top of his lungs until I take him out. To the point where he’s beet red and covered in sweat. As soon as I take him out of the car he’s totally fine.
I’ve given him his pacifier, laid a comfy blanket over his lap, talked/sang to him, used a portable sound machine… and nothing seems to help for longer than like 5 min. Sometimes if I sit in the back with him I can keep him calm for a few extra minutes, but very rarely is he content for longer than 5-10 min. And obviously when I’m the only one in the car there’s not much I can do to soothe him.
Is this something I just have to wait for him to grow out of? Or does anyone have any tips/tricks to help him at least tolerate the car a little better? I’m losing my mind every time I have to take him out of the house lol I’ll take any help I can get!
