Heart palpitations normal during pregnancy ?

I got a hard heart palpitation it felt like my heart was having an earthquake is the best way to describe it. It was scary and lasted a few seconds but are they Normal?

I am 18 weeks and have been having heart palpitations since I was 10 or so weeks. I have been experiencing short of breath, tightness in chest, feeling like I am going to faint during these episodes. My OB said that heart palpitations are normal but because I have other symptoms with it he wants me to go see cardiologist. I seen my cardiologist and she said this is common in pregnancy. She did do blood tests to check my thyroid, magnesium, and a few other things, did a ekg (of course I wasn’t having an episode), and both of those came back normal. I go Tuesday for an ultrasound on my heart, and August 2 I go to have a monitor put on and I have to wear it for a week. I have a history of preeclampsia so we are making sure nothing serious is going on.
