What is this on his skin??

Hi my husband have this for one year 
I thought it will be gone so we just let it heal by itself but it got bigger and bigger 
My husband was making a joke saying maybe this is cancer 
I told him to go to doctor but he is too lazy to go and I’m very  frustrated 
What this could be ??

Definitely should go see a dermatologist. Could be eczema, dermatitis, rash from contact with something, sensitive skin, etc.

Looks like ringworm to me. My husband does Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and they get it alllllll the time! Definitely needs to see a dermatologist

Nurse practitioner here, and it’s 100% ringworm. Get some over-the-counter antifungal ringworm cream and follow package instructions. Keep treating for a few weeks even once the rash is gone. Fungus is tough to treat and it likes to come back even after it starts clearing.. It’s contagious so he needs to wash his hands after touching it so it doesn’t spread more.

I agree with others. It looks like a perfect rectangle, so maybe something he wore, or some sort of medicine patch?? Have you tried an OTC steroid cream and some anti-itch cream?

Do his jeans have a patch in them by chance? Its a square so what does he rub against or touch thats a square? If it hasent spread its a reaction to something thats localized that hes only touching there. Weird for it to be a square though. I cant think of anything other than like a jeans patch that would cause that

Seeing that it's a square I'd say it might be contact dermatitis to something he wears that sits on that spot.
