Gifts?
Mine and my partners anniversary is coming up. I had an idea to look for something he can use to make ice coffee with as he really likes cold coffee drinks but also made my partner aware because of bills his present will be a bit late (1st time I've ever done this to him). He's fine with that but he has my present already arranged and I'm a little self conscious because it's significantly more than what I was thinking to pay for a gift for him (I know the amount because I joked about hoping he didn't pay too much and he thought I wanted to know exact amount). Its not the first time he's paid more for a gift and I feel bad I'm not a materialistic person neither is he but I don't want him thinking I'm trying to be cheap? It's just we come from different backgrounds and so different amounts of money seemed a lot to me and not so much to him if that makes sense and I don't shame him for the difference qnd he doesn't to me either but I don't want him feeling like I don't put effort in
Last year's anniversary I got him a collectible statue around £80 which I knew he'd love but wouldn't buy himself...he got me a PS5 which we do both use but do you see what I mean in price difference? He does earn more too so only time I comment on price for gifts is to be like don't leave yourself broke for sake of a gift
