Stories on short cervix?

natalie

Hi guys,

First of all, I'm in a country where there's a language barrier. Thankfully, I see people at the hospital who speak a little English.

Today I had an appointment, they checked my cervix and said it is short. I am 31 weeks pregnant and cervix is 2.6. Not really sure what that means.

Anyway, she has organised a nurse to come to my home weekly, she will examine me for 30 minutes, by checking the babies heartrate and contractions.

Does this mean, there's a chance of preterm Labour? I've not been admitted, but been told to rest as much as possible.

Anyone have any experience with this?
