Proud of myself for setting boundaries
I’m a people pleaser. I always have been. I’d rather put my emotions aside to accommodate someone else’s. I’m learning to set boundaries and I love it.
Over a year ago I dated this guy for a few weeks. It was my first time hanging out with someone in 3 years. It was ok at first. Our conversations were great but after a while I noticed a lot of red flags. He did me a favor and ghosted me. The other day he messaged me.

I made the mistake of accidentally sending his brother a friend request on Facebook while scrolling the “people you may know”. Right away I took back the request.
Old me would have been “it’s ok. We can be friends” but nope. I’ve been dating someone who has raised my standards. It might not seem like much but I’m proud of being able to not allow myself to be disrespected.
