Pulling child’s hair as punishment

My mother used to pull my hair as a child when I was around age 5-8 because she said when she would spank my butt, I would laugh at her. I’m honestly scared she may do something like this to my daughter because she has disciplined my nieces and nephews before (spanking) when they are at her house. My moms done things other than this, she is narcissistic, so is this something I should be worried about leaving my baby to be babysat with her? Or am I overreacting?
