Possible Hormonal issue
I’d like to get some advice/ factual information on hormonal changes and it’s effect on the body.
I have these issues which I believe may be caused by a hormone imbalance, or something. I am making an appointment for a womens health specialist as soon as they open, but I want to get some comfort. To explain more about myself, I am 20 years old, female, 5’7”, 193-200 lbs on average. For period purposes, I am sexually active currently but we use protection via condoms.
The issues I have (in general):
-Weight gain localized to the hips, butt and thighs.
-Atopic Dermatitis & psoriasis
- I’ve been developing more and more peach fuzz on the sides of my upper lip, right side worse than the left. (looks black in the shower)
-body fatigue
-developing a more defined happy trail (despite having lost weight this year it’s worse somehow)
-Irregular periods on and off starting (currently a week late) approximately in 2019 after having Nexplanon arm implant (which was removed in dec 2020) or
-lung conditions like severe asthma, as well as, pulmonologist discovered masses in the lungs that need diagnosed.
-dislocated TMJ (jaw joint) discs
Mostly, the couple female related issues I believe are hormonal due to online research. I’m worried because I’ve just been noticing that my weight is different, gaining a lot more in my mid region. However I went from 243 to 195 between feb-June out by not eating a lot. But I have never dropped weight like that. I have always had a very pear curvy shape but specifically have noticed a lot of abnormal gaining in the thighs, and hips and stomach area. However, I eat healthy, but I am not very active in terms of exercise due to my medical conditions. In addition to weight gain, I’ve noticed an increase in the shade and quantity of the darker peach fuzz (not wax or pluck worthy like eyebrow hair, but kinda shadowy on my upper lip). I was reading that testosterone increase can cause a few of the issues of I am experiencing. Another important thing to note, I am an all natural enthusiast so I don’t want to take medicines and stuff because I fear the side effects will worsen my current conditions. If you have any advice at all, please please drop some info! I know some of y’all may have hormonal issues and may know some important things! Thank you!
