3 yr old eyeshadow. Toss or keep?

I’ve used only 2 colors (black and brown) the most for the past 3 years but they are still so full lmao. Color looks great still and havent had any eye problems.
I like this pallette so much. Would you just toss this old one and go and get the exact same one??

Heck, no! I rarely use eyeshadow and will use the same one forever lol I'm cheap like that though.

For me it depends on a couple things. Is your makeup kept in the bathroom where it's exposed to temp and humidity changes? If so, it's time to toss. Has the texture of the eyeshadow changed at all? More clumpy? More crumbly? If so, it's time to toss.

I meant to say keep… if I was to “clean” out all my makeup I would have to start from scratch lol…
I have so many un used palettes that its just not fair. I agree as long as they’re in a cool environment they should be good.

How was it stored? Because it's eye makeup (vs blush) Im concerned about possible bacteria growth and contact with your eyes.

I've had mineany years including a foundation and will not throw it only reason is I use it on myself. I just wipe the top layer and shove it on

Depending on how it was stored I’d keep it. You can also spray it with alcohol

Nothing harmful will have lived that long on that. I don’t throw away cosmetics unless the quality is not the same. I think the whole expiring cosmetics thing is a bit ridiculous. It’s a ploy to get you to buy more and it’s extremely wasteful.

I wouldn’t throw it away if it’s been closed the entire time and only you have used it. Not likely to have harmful bacteria if so.
