Membrane Sweep - -any successful story?

Hi mamas - I’m 39+3 and today my doctor did a membrane sweep hoping it will induce labor. I’m 4cm dilated and having lots of pelvic pain. Anyone had that procedure done and went into labor shortly after?

got one at 39 weeks and some change at 3cm with my third and as soon as I got home started cleaning and getting ready and labor started - he was born about 5 hours later

Successful sweep over here! I had the sweep done on the Saturday and had my baby on the Monday (her due date). The midwife did 2 sweeps on that day and both were successful apparently.

I had one at 38+4, my appt was in the am and by that evening I was feeling super crampy. I didn’t feel good we followed doctors orders and had sed to hopefully being on labor and the next morning I went to the bathroom and had a trickle of fluid coming down my leg, I just stood there in shock cause I was trying to figure out if it was pee, I called which opened 4 hrs later and they instructed me to go to hospital and get checked. We loved 30 mins away but off we went, I got checked and confirmed it was amniotic fluid and I was at a 4cm so they kept me. I gave birth that afternoon.

With my first it didn't do anything 😭 I go in Wednesday to have one done and I'm hoping it works this time.🤞A good friend of mine had one a year ago and went into labor a few hours later.

I had a membrane sweep done twice, the first one didn’t work so I went in 3 days later, and got another one day, my water broke the next day!

Havent had it done but I have my 40w check up in a couple days and was considering asking for one - did it hurt?
