Bug bites

Hey ladies, I need some help identifying these bug bites. My kids and I were at the cottage this weekend, and also the beach. We all came back with these little red bites all over our ankles, they aren’t anywhere else.

What do these look like? They don’t look like mosquito bites to me but possibly flea or sand flea? I have myself a bit freaked out thinking it could be bed bugs. We were with a group of people at the cottage and a particular family is known to have bed bugs often. Any input is appreciated.
