How long after miscarriage before you got your first period?

I am on week 5 post miscarriage and waiting for my period to return. How long did it take for yours to return? Is there anything that we can do to help it return?

Mine never did. I fell pregnant 2 months after. 
If I didn’t get pregnant, it would’ve been 12 weeks.

With my chemical, the bleeding lasted 8 days and my next period was on time. Every period after was on time. 
With my missed miscarriage, the bleeding lasted 2 weeks and it took 6 weeks to get my period back. Every period after for 9 months was screwy. Anywhere from 2 weeks early to 2 weeks late and everything in between. I never knew when it was actually coming for months. 
Unfortunately not much you can do but wait it out. If you start to be concerned about it, you can always ask your OB.
