Saving money these days
Has anyone done anything to successfully/meaningfully save money now that EVERYTHING costs more? I'm a married stay at home mom to a one year old and a 3 year old. The 3 year old will be starting 5 mornings a week preschool in October, so that's another expense!
My husband makes a reasonably high salary. I feel like we should be able to figure this out. We aren't carrying any debt except our mortgage. I know from detailed expense tracking that we don't go too crazy on discretionary expenses.
Our grocery bill is huge. It's hugely important to me that we eat healthy, organic food.
I feel like there's nothing much to cut except to start eating instant mac and cheese and to tell my husband not to buy me a birthday present. :(
I feel like this is a season of life when we don't have time (to spend all day frugalizing things) or money!
Maybe I've answered my own question and I need to either accept our financial situation right now or make some incredibly uncomfortable changes.
I'm feeling so discouraged and vulnerable right now... Please only helpful, supportive, kind comments!
