So my friend is pregnant with her first and her shower is coming up this month! I had been waiting for the invite but instead she told me that she’s not inviting anyone around me because she doesn’t want us to have to drive that far, I told her that I am more than willing I REALLY would love to drive and be there for her big day, we’ve had this talk about 3 times now and she either leaves me on read or just says “it’s okay” and then I found out her sister who lives next to me gets an invite and is going! I’m close with her sister too.

I mean honestly yes it sounds like she just does not want to invite you which if I were you I would completely back off and not speak to her until she reaches out to you because I don't know what kind of friend that is. If she's having a family only shower and you guys are friends she should feel comfortable enough to communicate that with you but even I had a family only shower and I invited my only friend that I do really care about who lives quite a while away so maybe she doesn't feel like you're that close of a friend...

To be honest. Dnt even try anymore. Just dnt bring it up and if she brings it up, ignore it and talk about something else. You’re not invited so try not to push it.

4. Really, I can tell you might want to talk to the sister about that. DON’T. 
5. If you were that important to her, she would have tried. It seems like you want to do the sacrifice but she could care less. So, give up. I’m sure you can use that gas money to do something better and the tome you would spend at that baby shower to for a self care day. 
6. If I were you, I would NOT reach out to her again if she left you on read. That is disrespectful.
