Is this some type of rash?

My son is 10 month old and he just got this today. Not sure if it’s because of the heat or something else. Can someone help me find out? I know it have nothing to do with something he ate because he’s only has formula today. Would I have to take him to the doctor?

If it doesn't go away I would definitely take him to the doctor. Those rashes all look so similar. It could be a heatrash, but I agree that it looks more like an allergic reaction. Doesn't have to be from food either. Could have been a topical reaction (so allergic reaction from something touching his skin). Other than that I could also be a viral rash. 
I would say it doesn't look like meningitis, but no matter what it looks like I always do the glass test. Push a glass on to the rasha Nd see if it fades while being pressed. If it fades it's not meningitis
