How do I know if I'm pregnant? Missed period and negative tests

I am 2 days late with my period but all my tests are coming back negative. My cervix never dropped, its soft, my cervical mucus is still quite creamy and I had a lot of it today. It's been 2 weeks since my ovulation, could my tracker predicted wrong or could mu cycle be messed up? My mother when she was trying to conceive could never use home tests due to them not picking up on the hormones. Is it possible I'm getting false negatives and I need to have blood taken to confirm?
