Can my kids get taken if I get help with my rent?

This is the first time I've needed help & Im just worried if I go to get help they will take my kids. Everything else if fine I just need rent help....

Im a mandated reporter. No. Poverty isnt a reason to have your kids taken. Even if you were evicted Gd forbid due to job loss or financial constraints and had to stay with friends or family or rent out a room, thats acceptable. As long as your kids are safe, have something to eat even if modest, not around dangerous people or drugs, the place is not grossly unsanitary etc, thats fine.

Absolutely not mama no worries. Asking for rent, food, and health insurance help from the government will never get your kids taken away from you :) so ask away! That’s exactly what it’s there for! 
Abuse, neglect, and terrible things like that will get your kids taken away.

No...why would they take your kids? If they're not abused & well taken care of you'll be fine.
