It is completely up to you and what you feel comfortable with. Some mamas need that recovery time and bonding time first, some mamas want to share their creation with the world immediately. It’s totally up to you :) 
I’m one of those mamas that likes to share haha. My pediatrician recommended getting him out in the world asap so we went to the state fair when he was only 5 days old and had a blast! There really wasn’t any stretch of days that we just sat at home and didn’t go anywhere. Now my son just turned one year old and is a beautiful healthy boy ❤️

Me personally, absolutely not. If you are having anxiety about it don't go. Give you and your baby some time.

I did with our second baby. It was an easy labor and delivery, and we all went out with my parents to our favorite classy restaurant when she was a few days old. She slept on me with a nursing cover over her the entire time and we had a wonderful meal. I wouldn’t pass the baby around at that age, but a quiet catered dinner can be pretty awesome postpartum. 
I probably wouldn’t have done it after our first - I had bled a lot during delivery and was still a shell of a human at that point, but my second came out with a sneeze and I was running around just a couple of hours later.
Don’t let people guilt you into isolation postpartum if you don’t want to. Be cognizant of risks, but you don’t have to be crazy. You aren’t taking the baby to a bar on spring break.

I didn’t leave the house for the first week after my baby was born. It had little to do with anxiety, and more to do with the fact that I was healing, exhausted, and just wanted to spend time with my husband and baby.

I definitely wouldn’t for all of your mental health reasons.  Those are enough.  Our pediatrician didn’t want babe in public for a while too.  I forget how long maybe 2 weeks?  But they wanted a very small group of people with babe, basically immediately family only.

I went to one w outdoor seating when she was only a few days old. Had her in the stroller sitting outside under 2 hrs. If it was indoor and fit linger probably not.
