4 weeks postpartum sex

So I read on here a lot that you're not supposed to have sex until you're cleared or past 6 weeks PP but I asked my midwife about sex and if I needed to be cleared for it and she said no, whenever you feel emotionally and physically ready for it you can. So I'm confused because I do feel ready and want to have sex but I'm only 4 weeks (not bleeding anymore just a small bit of spotting barely any) and I don't want to risk anything. Anyone else's midwife/doctor say the same thing?
