We live in a row home/terraced house, and we’re having our back garden renovated. One of our neighbors has been a little bit of a pain about it. The fence between our properties is rotted and we wanted to have it replaced to match our fence on the opposite side. At first he was really unhappy about it, but after speaking with the garden company he came around and even offered to pay for half of the fence, which we didn’t ask for or expect him to do. But he asked that we wait until he’s back from vacation to have the fence installed. We agreed, and had the rest of the garden renovation carried out this week. He was supposed to be back this Sunday and the fence is going up on Monday.

I noticed that the workers left quite a bit of rubbish outside of our new shed and our neighbor’s shed when they finished for the day. It’s not blocking any doors or the driveways, it’s where people usually put their bins. I went out to clear some of it away earlier, but a lot of it is too heavy for me, and I’m 33w pregnant so I didn’t want to overdo it. I figured I’d ask my husband to move more of it tomorrow. Well our neighbor came back early, and he has been stomping around outside grumbling about the trash. I told him my husband would move it tomorrow when he’s home, but he’s saying he wants it moved now. (We also don’t speak the same language; I’m an expat and I’m still learning, but I’m trying really hard to communicate with him.) I was just out in the rain lugging boxes around and he kept stomping around staring at me with his arms crossed. I came inside to call my husband and I can’t reach him, and my neighbor came to the door and keeps pointing to all the stuff still on the sidewalk. I don’t know what to do.
