Y’all is this a red flag

Started dating a man 3 months ago. Initially we were constantly texting, from the minute we got up to very late at night. He would send me love songs and talk about our future. He asked me to be his girlfriend within a month of dating. He was making plans with me, making an effort to see me on a regular basis. He even helped clean up my backyard and replace my water heater/repair my AC. When we were together he was always very gentlemanly and sweet.

This last couple weeks he hardly text at all. If we text it’s usually because I initiate it. I have tried calling but he doesn’t return my call then will text me hours later saying he’s busy or swamped. I’ve tried a few different times to make plans with him but each time he can’t for whatever reason.

I confronted him about his lack of response and he just said he’s been busy but he really likes me and enjoys spending time with me. But then nothing changes. Today he didn’t text me all day. Like I text him at 9 am asking him if he was free this week and he says any day except today, so I say how about tomorrow or Saturday? He doesn’t respond. I text him something random at 1 pm, no response. I text again at 7 pm and he replies. So I follow up about when I can see him and he now says he’s busy all week and can’t get together until Saturday, which will make it two weeks since we’ve seen each other.

I just feel like something’s off. I don’t understand what changed the last couple weeks where he hardly responds and I’m initiating pretty much any contact and dates.

I’ve been in abusive relationship before and I’m now wondering if maybe he was love bombing me and it wasn’t genuine and I should just get out now. I just really really like this guy and I’m struggling with it.

What do you guys think? Should I just get out now?

I dumped him. Told him I deserved to be a priority and to be respected enough to get a reply back in a decent amount of time. (Not 24 hours later) his reply was “I’m sorry but I’m not at a point in my life where I can give you the time and attention you deserve” 😒😒😒 whatever I guess it’s better to end things now then be strung along.
