20 wk anatomy scan
So I went in for my 20 week anatomy scan yesterday, and I was told the right side of my baby’s heart is slightly larger then the left. They said it could be from him coming so much they were not able to get the best pictures, a imaging error, or an actual issue with his heart. The tech who did the scan took her time but our baby was moving so much she had a hard time getting all the images needed of his heart, but when the doctor came in to confirm what was seen she told my husband and I that she was not very patient when it came down to scanning baby’s and she also was not as good as the tech. She took maybe a total of 2 minutes trying to look at his heart but since my baby was moving so much she gave up. Our overall experience was not great and she rushed through telling us what was wrong and didn’t even ask us if we had any questions just told us we could leave now.
I have an appointment set with a fetal cardiologist next Friday but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced something like this before with their baby’s heart. My heart is just so heavy right now with the chance of something actually being wrong!
