Bed routine with NB and toddler

Mom's of more than one! My hubs and I have been taking turns doing our bed time routine with the toddler while the other parent takes care of our newborn. My husband is going out of state for his besties wedding this next weekend so I will be solo with a 2 yr old and a 4 week old. What did you do for bed routine and getting the toddler to bed without the newborn losing it? Toddler is in their own room at the moment and newborn is sleeping in parent's room.
