Advise on where to take this relationship

Hi,

I’m currently 24 weeks pregnant, it was planned however when I I first found out I was pregnant and told my partner he had a change of heart and wasn’t sure he wanted me to continue with the pregnancy.

Once the news had settled in and he had come to terms he was going to be a dad he started to come round to the idea, he helped me decorate the house and do the odd jobs to get the place nice for the baby’s due date. As we don’t currently live together we talked about plans to move in together and he was going to look at renting his place out or just leaving it empty until the baby was around 6 months then we would sell up and buy something together.

Fast forward to today he now wants to co-parent and has no intention of moving in with me. I’ve been buying things for the baby ready for her arrival but he’s just not interested. He is more interested in going to the gym and staying at his house, we probably only see each other 3/4 days a wee. When I asked what his plans were for the birth he said he will probably stay at mine 2 weeks before my due date so he doesn’t miss the birth and is around to help. Then will support me financially as he still wants to be part of her life. It’s fair to say when we do spend time together we are like a normal couple, sleep together and eat out. I just don’t think he wants to commit and continue to live a single life but keep me hanging u til the baby arrives.

I feel like just walking away from the relationship and focusing on the last trimester of my pregnancy, putting me and my baby first without constantly trying to make it work with him and feeling like I’ve let my baby down before she’s even been born. There will be someone out there that wants to be a family and care for me and my baby?

Does anyone else think he is being selfish and only bothered about himself?
