bf hasnt texted me in 2 days and didnt show up to church. should i be worried?

my bf and I have felt burned out in texting and going out with friends and family lately because it has been every week multiple times during the week. sooo I told him it is okay that we dont always text all the time so he can do self care and i can do self care so we can be well physically to care and love each other in our relationship. I also told him that theres this family event again that is coming up over the weekend and that i want to invite him but I know he will say yes and not take the rest he needs. i am soo tired and dont really want to go, but I said I will go since it is a mandatory family event and told him not to since he needs to get rest. he agreed.

but now he hasnt texted me in 2 days which i am fine with. but what i am not fine with is that we always meet up at church together and he hasnt missed one service without telling me he is feeling sick or family emergency came up or something. today he just didnt show up and didnt even bother to text me if hes okay.

should i text him or should I just wait for him to text me (since he might be just resting or maybe hurt with what i said so he is reacting this way)?

FYI: We do call but we are just physically tired. we still love each other, at least that is what he says. but i just wonder if he is okay bc he didnt show up today at church and didnt bother tp tell me
