Hair growth update
So 9 months ago I fucked my hair up. I permed it to be straight. My mom didn't really know how to do hair growing up and I can't fault her because she grew up in foster care and never learned how to take care of her own hair so she either had mine braided or she permed it... I grew up perming my hair. And as a black girl I felt like I had to keep my hair straight if it wasn't braided. I grew up with so many black women perming their hair to straighten it and there's nothing wrong with that if it's what you want. I just wish someone had only told me the dangers of perming your hair too much but that your hair doesn't have to be straight to be beautiful. I permed my hair 9 months ago and ALL my hair broke out. I remember looking in the mirror and crying. I was gonna get it braided but at that point, my hair was gone. So I cut it off even and decided to try to grow it back even. Well... This is my hair 9 months ago... And now!
