Would you advise doing a SIS/SHG?
Hi ladies, I wanted to see what you would do if you were me! My clinic is out of state so I do ultrasounds/labs at my OB office. I had a hysteroscopy and HSG in 2017 done prior to my first IVF, which lead to my left tube being removed, but everything fine with my uterus. We then had a successful transfer October 2018 and I gave birth vaginally June 2019. Then in 2020, I had another HSG as part of preparing for our second round and that was fine. Transferred again in 2021 and gave birth February 2022. He was breech and we attempted an aversion, but he didnât tolerate it so my son was born by urgent cesarean. My period came back pretty quickly after both pregnancies. Like in 2-3 months. So my cycle has been fairly normal the last several months. I do have a high AMH/PCO but always had regular cycles. We Had a consult with the fertility clinic a few weeks ago and we decided nothing really needed to change as far as protocol since it worked for me, but she said they usually recommend a SIS for everyone. I then followed up with my OB to clear for transfer and talked about the SIS, she said sheâs more than happy to do one but didnât see the need, since I donât have a history of uterine abnormalities and had 2 uncomplicated (aside from our sons heart condition) full term pregnancies. So I got back to my clinic and they said itâs a suggestion but not mandatory. So I guess itâs up to me.. I donât really care either way. Is the procedure easy? For whatever reason Iâve never had one. Or would you just skip it? Gosh, I thought for sure after our son, that we would just be content and done with fertility treatments. Blows my mind that we are back here. Life has a funny way of redirecting your pathđđ
